One guy in Singapore has become an instant hero after climbing up to the second floor of a Housing Board block at Jurong East Street 32 to rescue a toddler stuck in-between the railings.

The kid had managed to get her head stuck in the railings and was crying for help, with a couple of other guys already trying and failing to rescue her when the hero, who was working nearby, stepped in to help.

The foreigner has become a bit of a sensation since his heroics were captured on camera, and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) even tracked down Subramanian Shanmuganathan to give him a SCDF Public Spiritedness Award and also handed one to his colleague Ponnan Muthukumar who helped him.
