WWE superstar John Cena is renowned for his work with the ‘Make A Wish Foundation’ and for his desire to make young children’s dreams come true.
This week, on Monday Night Raw, the 38-year-old showed off his wish granting prowess once again when he honoured a young wrestling fan who is battling cancer.
Current U.S champion Cena was facing off with NXT champ Kevin Owens at the time. As the two were going back-and-forth on the microphone, Cena spotted the youngster in the audience and pointed him out to the crowd.
If I say the words ‘never give up,’ not only am I telling the truth, I am encouraging young and old, all alike, like that person right there, to do the exact same thing.
The brave kid was holding an “I’m beating cancer” sign and after the show went off the air, Cena invited the youngster into the ring to join him and hold his title.
What a lovely gesture by Cena. He made this kid’s day.
