The last dictator in Europe, Belarussian president Alexander Lukashenko, has accidentally ordered his people to strip off at work after flubbing a line during a speech.
Now barefaced employees across Belarus have obeyed their leader, sharing videos and pics on social media of themselves posing naked at work.
The Belorussian President Lukashenko , 61, was making a speech about new technology when a slip of the tongue ruined his speech and inspired the saucy snaps, The Mirror reports.
Innovations, IT-technologies, privatisation – it is all clear. We’ve conquered all of them. But everything is very simply, one should get undressed and work.
We’re guessing that the dictator meant to say ‘develop themselves’ but unfortunately for him the phrase in Russian sounds awfully close to ‘get undressed’.
Many Belorussians began to joke about their leader’s ‘Freudian slip’ sending the quote viral and even organising a naked flashmob event on social media.
Those taking part in flashmob posted their photos online along with #getnakedandgotowork which of course, no doubt helped by the nudity, went viral.
Here are some of the best #getnakedandgotowork posts:
