Dad Shocked To Find Mummified Cat While Demolishing His Shed

Of all the things to find while demolishing your garden shed – a mummified cat is certainly one of the worse things to stumble across.

Unfortunately for dad-of-two Adam White that was exactly what he uncovered and he believes it could have been there for over 30 years.

So the story goes that Adam was preparing his property in Wigan, Lancashire, for an extension and in turn he was demolishing the roof of his shed when he noticed the below cat under a lot of rubble.

At first Adam thought that the satanic looking mummy was an ornament before he saw the rib cage and realised it was a real cat that had seemingly been embalmed.

He explained:

I think it’s been there quite a long time. There was rubble everywhere and it was in there.

I couldn’t make my mind up whether it was an ornament or something but when I saw its teeth and rib cage I knew it was real.

There was a hole in the corner of the building so I don’t know whether it’s crawled in there and got stuck or climbed up to die.

Well, that sure sounds absolutely fucking harrowing.

The disturbing story has understandably shocked Adam’s local community – however some are trying to check if the cat was microchipped, though the chances are slim as it looks like the cat has been dead a long, long time.

Adam added:

I had to put it in a bag, my little lad was out with me. I had to pretend to him that it wasn’t real. Luckily my other son was in bed – he is really obsessed with animals, I think he would have been taken aback with it.

For the body to have been preserved as well as it has been the feline flesh must’ve been exposed to either a set of chemicals or a lack of oxygen which is certainly plausible had it been in the shed for such a long period of time.

The stuff nightmares are made of.
