Picture the scene: you’re walking down the street with your doggo, minding your own business, when all of a sudden they dart into the middle of the road and pull you along with them.
If you’ve ever had a dog, you’ll understand this is something that tends to happen on a daily basis, primarily because they have the shortest attention span ever.
All it takes is for a plastic bottle to be hiding underneath the curb, or for (god forbid) another dog to be walking on the opposite side of the road, and they’re off.
So I don’t even want to imagine what would happen if a Google Street View car came round the corner when my dog was in the vicinity – let’s just say, things would not end well.
Luckily, that’s never happened before but one dog has shown us exactly what would happen if one of the cars ever drove past at the exact time a doggo was waiting [im]patiently by the side of the road. And it’s the best thing ever.
The now-famous dog has won everyone’s heart as pictures have emerged showing it running after the Google Street View car in Kumage, Japan.
Now, if you’ve read this headline and your immediate thought was, ‘wait, dogs can’t ruin anything… what’s wrong with you?!’ then same.
Obviously, the doggo didn’t ruin anything – he simply added an extra dimension to the pictures which, let’s face it, we all need in our lives.
From the moment the dog comes into view, you can tell something adorable is about to happen as its entire body seems to perk up and it gets into position to chase the car.
The adorable dog then appears to sprint after the car, not stopping for breath as it remains in view for the entire journey, which in my opinion was way too short-lived.
As the car approaches the end of the road (which is an actual dead end) the dog can be seen still positioned behind the car, but it’s not known what happened afterwards.
I’m hoping the driver had a break from his Street Viewing duties and hopped out of the car to pet the dog for being such a good boy. They better have done anyway.
As reported by SORA News 24, the dog has become a bit of a sensation on blogs dedicated to obsessively cataloging Google Street View.
Obviously people only had good things to say, with one social media user writing:
I laughed so hard when I saw how far it chased the car!
Another simply wrote:
It’s so cute!
While one said:
It looks like it’s saying, ‘What’s this that’s come down my road?’
Well, I don’t know about you guys but that’s definitely brightened up my day.
Especially knowing that the dog’s adorable antics will be forever available to watch if we’re ever feeling sad. All you have to do is click here.
