Harry Potter fans who’ve always wanted to be part of an extravagant Christmas feast in the Great Hall will finally have their wish granted this year, just as long as they can magic up £230 each.
The famous Hogwarts dining room at the Warner Bros Studios near London will be decked out in Xmas decorations and the original props from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, and opened to visitors for a very special event.
Guests will be treated to Christmas Dinner, canapés and drinks upon arrival and even their own wands so they can cast their own spells during the meal, apparently (just don’t be that one guy yelling “Avada Kedavra” over and over again for the “banter”).
And, to be fair, the menu looks pretty tasty:
Elsewhere at the Studios’ other Harry Potter themed areas, there’ll also be a selection of puddings on offer next to the Hogwarts Express on Platform 9 and 3/4, with mugs of traditional Butterbeer on sale at the backlot café.
Music and dancing will conclude the evening, which runs from 6pm until midnight on December 3, although there’s no word on whether Professor Dumbledore, the Sorting Hat or any owls are set to make an appearance at the event.
Unfortunately for youngsters this one is for big kids only, as you must be over 18 to attend and you’ll need ID to prove it. Jokes about how you made your driving license “disappear” probably won’t work.
You can book tickets online here and you’ll probably have to move faster than a speeding dragon to snap these up before they sell out!
