North Korea have yet again fired a missile over Japan toward the Pacific Ocean.

The missile passed over the Japanese island of Hokkaido, at 07:06 JST.

Japan did not attempt to shoot down the missile, which is one of two to pass over Japanese airspace in a month.

An emergency alert was sent to Japanese citizens, warning them to take shelter. Sirens could also be heard around the country.

The South Korean and US militaries are said to be carefully analysing the launch.

This is a breaking news story and will be updated as more details emerge.
