University can be an expensive business. There’s the fees, of course – and the knowledge that everyone older than 40 didn’t have to pay them – and the exorbitant rent, all the books and being forced to go on nights out all the time. Well, at least one of those isn’t bothering you at the moment…

What we’re all learning at the moment is that the internet is amazing and that digital skills are everything. Given the economic wasteland that awaits us all, now might be the time to pick up a few skills that will help on the job market – which is where Adobe can come in. Adobe Creative Cloud can give you the edge in your seminars and coursework, and also provide genuine digital skills to make your CV pop out when applying for jobs when uni is done with.

Students can already save on Adobe Creative Cloud products and, this Black Friday, you can get an extra 19% off – so whether you’re into photos, videos, graphic design, illustration or AR, you can find something that suits from their 20+ creative tools. It’s just £13.15 per month incl VAT for a limited time only – all details can be found here.

Oh, and it gets better: show Adobe how good your digital literacy skills are and you could win £9,250 – that’s a full year’s tuition. Simply submit some of your uni coursework that shows off your use of Adobe Creative Cloud tools to be in the running. Even if you don’t win the top prize, three runners up will also get £1,000 each for their troubles.

The money will be great, of course, but on top of that, you’ll also receive the Adobe Digital Edge Award, a prestigious award that is sure to impress anyone who might see your CV on a pile. All submissions must be a part of a real uni assignment and must have been created by you alone or with a team of up to six people, using Adobe Creative Cloud. If you’ve got a pre-existing uni assignment that you would like to spruce up and enter, that is also allowed. So, if your uni didn’t allow you to submit something as creative as you wanted, this is your chance to really pull out the stops.

Students are only eligible to submit an entry if they are studying at a UK Higher Education Institution for the current academic year. This award is for students who are not specifically studying courses that teach Creative Cloud as part of the course, such as illustration or graphic design – but those already studying those creative courses have a whole range of other amazing contests and awards to enter, check them out here.

Students are already wowing lecturers with video presentations, infographics, apps and more – so show that work to us and get more than just a 2:1 and a pat on the back for your troubles. Submissions are already open and close on 31st May 2021. Check out how to enter here.

The extra 19% discount offer runs until 27th November, and is a Black Friday deal exclusively for students. Your ideas, your creations.
