A$AP Rocky responds to woman who complained he ‘jumped over’ her to get to the Met Gala

The rapper has reached out after the fan seemed less than impressed with his actions.

A$AP Rocky has apologized to the woman he pushed past before attending the Met Gala.

The Carlyle Hotel is the place where A-listers go to get ready and hang out before fashion's night of nights.

Once they're all dolled up, they'll strut outside to a horde of screaming fans and then into a car to go to the Museum of Metropolitan Art in New York City.

While all the celebrities who arrive at the hotel are greeted by security who let them in without a hitch, it seems like A$AP Rocky found it difficult to find the entrance.

Considering he was going to the big event with Rihanna, there was no way he could be late.

However, a viral video has showed him climb over the barricade and hop into the hotel.

He did this by putting his hand over a woman's face to give him a leg up.

That woman was Madelyn Llanes, who had gathered outside The Carlyle Hotel to catch a glimpse of all the A-listers getting ready for the 2023 Met Gala.

The fan told The Independent Rocky had actually attempted to warn her that he'd be passing through, but she'd initially ignored him.

She explained: “I went to The Carlyle early in the day just so I’d be able to see everyone’s outfits up close as they’d head out.

"What happened with A$AP Rocky is that I had felt someone tapping my shoulder, so I turned around and saw that it was him but my brain didn’t fully comprehend that it was him.

"He said: ‘Sweetheart I need to get through’ and I just told him ‘no’ because the barricade was right in front of me, there wasn’t really anywhere to go."

She also posted to Twitter saying 'A$AP Rocky just literally jumped over me'.

After the footage started doing the rounds on social media, people called on the rapper to apologize for his actions.

A$AP has now listened to the masses and says he's sorry.

He wrote on social media: "LOL MY FAULT $WEETHEART."

Madelyn revealed that it was a strange moment when he properly jumped over the fence.

She explained: "After he hopped over, he was like ‘thank you’ and then just laughed and flipped me off and then he went inside and that’s when I fully realised it was him."

UNILAD has reached out to representatives for A$AP Rocky for comment.
