Amber Heard has said she still loves Johnny Depp in spite of their tumultuous marriage, divorce and lengthy court case.
Heard opened up about her feelings for Depp following the conclusion of their trial in Fairfax, Virginia, in which the jury determined the Aquaman star had defamed Depp for describing herself as a victim of abuse.
The actor doubled down her claims that Depp had abused her in another interview given after the trial, but during an appearance on the Today show this week she said she still loves him.

While speaking with Heard, interviewer Savannah Guthrie drew attention to part of a statement Heard made on the first day of the trial in which she said: "I still have love for Johnny".
When asked if that statement was 'still true', Heard quickly responded: "Yes".
The actor confirmed the statement remained the same 'after everything', adding: "Absolutely. I love him. I loved him with all my heart and I tried the best I could to make a deeply broken relationship work, and I couldn't."
Heard went on to claim she has 'no bad feelings or ill will' towards her ex-husband, despite the fact that might be 'hard to understand'.
Following the trial Depp travelled to the UK to take part in a number of music shows alongside guitarist Jeff Beck, during which time he also greeted a number of fans and released a TikTok video to thank those who had supported him throughout the trial.
A spokesperson for Heard said her decision to speak out came off the back of the behaviour of both Depp and his legal team, telling The Independent: "Johnny Depp’s legal team blanketed the media for days after the verdict with numerous statements and interviews on television, and Depp himself did the same on social media.
“Ms. Heard simply intended to respond to what they aggressively did last week; she did so by expressing her thoughts and feelings, much of which she was not allowed to do on the witness stand.”
Heard told Guthrie the court trial will 'mean something' no matter the result, expressing belief she 'did the right thing to stand up for [herself] and the truth'.
However, the actor also shared fears Depp could launch further legal action against her, saying she was 'scared that no matter' what she does, it will 'present another opportunity for silencing'.
Heard's interview airs on Tuesday, June 14 and Wednesday, June 15 on NBC's TODAY and Friday, June 17 on Dateline NBC 8 p.m. / 7 p.m. CT.
