Bam Margera Reported Missing After Leaving Rehab

Margera told the rehab manager he was checking into another facility

Jackass star Bam Margera has been reported missing after leaving a rehabilitation facility in Florida.

A manager at the facility told police Margera, 42, had been receiving treatment at the facility under a court order but hadn't been happy with the establishment or its services.

Instead of continuing his stay at the centre, Margera apparently told the manager he would be checking himself into a different rehabilitation facility in the same area of Florida.

Margera left the premises in a black sedan, according to a Delray Beach police report cited by TMZ, though staff at the centre are said to have been concerned over the fact the stuntman seemed to be leaving without authorisation.

Employees did not believe Margera to be a danger to himself or others, but the manager reported him missing on Monday (13 June). Margera is now the subject of a search conducted by Delray Beach police .

A source close to the 42-year-old told TMZ he had been staying at a sober living facility and had recently got into an argument with his wife, Nicole Boyd. They also claimed Margera had issues with the facilities at the centre, and that his decision to leave was impulsive.

Last month, Margera was reported as having completed a year's worth of alcohol treatment and reuniting with his wife and son, Phoenix, in Florida. The stuntman told TMZ at the time he and his family would continue to live in the state so he could participate in outpatient Alcoholics Anonymous groups and other classes to enhance his sobriety.

Margera broke his wrist soon after completing his year of treatment, but turned down pain medication in a bid to prevent himself from hindering progress in his addiction recovery.

The 42-year-old's recovery journey began after he was removed from the latest Jackass film, Jackass Forever, after testing positive for Adderall and violating his 'wellness agreement' with the franchise.

His removal prompted Margera to sue Johnny Knoxville and others involved in the film, but the lawsuit was later dismissed.

Speaking to Variety about Margera's exclusion from the film, Knoxville said: "It's really heartbreaking. I love Bam. We all love Bam. He's our brother, you know? You just hope that he takes it upon himself to get the help that he needs, because we all care about him a lot."

UNILAD has reached out to Delray Beach police and representatives for Margera for further comment.
