Chris Rock's Younger Brother Challenges Will Smith To A Boxing Match

It comes amid the fallout of Smith slapping Rock at the Oscars after he cracked a 'G.I. Jane 2' joke at Jada Pinkett Smith

Chris Rock's younger brother is gearing up for his first boxing match. If he has his way, it'll be against Will Smith.

It comes amid the fallout of Smith slapping Rock at the Oscars after he cracked a 'G.I. Jane 2' joke at Jada Pinkett Smith.

The King Richard winner has since publicly apologised to the comedian, resigned from the Academy and been banned from the Oscars for 10 years, as well as a number of his projects reportedly halted due to the controversy.

Speaking to TMZ, Kenny Rock spoke about signing a deal with Celebrity Boxing founder Damon Feldman for a fight in Florida later this year. When asked if he was excited, he said: "Most definitely."

He was then asked who he'd want to fight, as he's yet to announce an opponent, to which he said: "Any and everybody. Anybody willing to step up and take on the challenge."

Kenny was also asked if he thinks his brother and Smith should get in the ring to settle their differences. "No they shouldn't, but I should get in the ring with Will Smith," he said.

Kenny also said the comedian is 'doing great' after the slap and expressed scepticism over the Academy maintaining the 10-year ban, suspecting it may be lifted after a few years when the uproar has passed.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Kenny also said he'd like to see Smith stripped of his first-ever Oscar.

He said: "It eats at me watching it over and over again because you've seen a loved one being attacked and there's nothing you can do about it.

"Every time I'm watching the videos, it's like a rendition that just keeps going over and over in my head.

"My brother was no threat to him and you just had no respect for him at that moment. You just belittled him in front of millions of people that watch the show."

He also alleged: "The joke was funny. It wasn’t hilarious funny, but I know that if he knew that she had alopecia… he wouldn’t make a joke about that. But he didn’t know."

Chris Rock's other brother Tony has yet to accept Smith's apology, and recently slammed the actor at his comedy show. He told the audience: "You gonna hit my motherf***ing brother because your b***h gave you a side-eye?"

Rock has yet to discuss the slap in any depth, recently saying he won't talk about it until he gets paid. "Life is good. I got my hearing back," he also said during his stand-up gig.
