Dana White shows off body transformation after fasting for 86 hours

Dana White has called on his social media followers to consider a 3 day fast after showing off his results.

UFC CEO Dana White has called on his social media fans to give his fasting method a go after saying the results left him ‘shredded’.

Between promoting the latest UFC fights, Dana White has been vocal about his dedication to getting in shape on his Instagram page.

And his latest post has called on his followers to consider attempting a fast, which he said, has multiple health benefits as well as physical ones. In his own words, White said he felt like a ‘superhero’ afterwards, so it might be worth a little listen!

“When I left the event on Saturday night, I started fasting,” he said in the video posted on his page on Wednesday (November 16).

White proceeded to share an image of him on Saturday night and then another snap of him on Wednesday morning.

In the Saturday picture, White is clearly in good shape but his abs are a little less defined and his chest appears more bloated - this is compared to his Wednesday picture, where he looks considerably more lean.

“I don’t know if you have seen this online but it is called the 7-day water fast. I'm going to walk you through what the protocol is,” he continued.

He went on to explain that for the first 24 hours he only drank water, but ensured that he added electrolytes to the water he was drinking. He just noted it was important to note that the electrolytes added have essentially zero sugars and carbs.

The next step is to drink bone broth the next day. He explained the brand that he uses only has 45 calories and less than 1 gram of carbs and around 13 grams of protein.

He said to drink the bone broth twice a day for the next two days alongside the water.

He concluded by saying: “You are going to feel incredible and obviously you are doing it for the internal but externally you get absolutely shredded on this thing.”

While proud of his results, White clarified in his caption that he obviously wasn’t a doctor and encouraged his followers to do their own research before embarking on the no-food diet.

While many of White’s social media followers were convinced and praised him for his dedication and advice for others considering the diet, consensus in the medical community of its benefits appears to be mixed.

A Healthline article medically reviewed by dietician Amy Richter suggested there is evidence that water fasting can lower the risk of some chronic diseases and have other health benefits, but there are also risks that need to be taken into consideration.

So, it might be worth speaking to your doctor first before your embark on the latest dieting trend.
