Elliot Page went on a double date with Leonardo DiCaprio and his mom

The actor met the man while filming Christopher Nolan's Inception

Elliot Page has revealed that while he was filming Inception with Leonardo DiCaprio, the actor set him up on a date and joined the pair with his mum, Irmelin Indenbirken.

Earlier this week, Page, 36, released his tell-all autobiography, Pageboy: A Memoir.

Throughout its 288 pages, The Umbrella Academy actor dropped a fair few bombshells, which have already made headlines.

It’s claimed that when filming for Juno was taking place in 2007, Page was having a secret relationship with co-star Olivia Thirlby, and having sex with her 'all the time'.

“It was on... we started having sex all the time: her hotel room, in our trailers at work, once in a tiny, private room in a restaurant,” he wrote.

Elsewhere in the memoir, the actor stated that while working on Christopher Nolan’s Inception, he stuck up a 'lovely connection' with one of DiCaprio’s friends.

In the book, Page calls the man he formed a connection with ‘Peter’, however, it is not known whether this is his real name or an alias.

The actor made the revelations in his memoir, Pageboy.

It’s said that the mutual friend visited the set of the 2010 Nolan movie, and the two struck up an acquaintance.

The actor described him as being 'warm to everyone' and having 'eyes beaming with care'.

“When I saw Leo next, I told him I liked his friend, to which he responded that his friend likes me, too," Page writes.

"For our first date, we went to Universal Studios with Leo and his mother. Peter and I sat close on the rides, our thighs just touching.”

Page admitted that the relationship with Peter didn’t last longer than 'a month, maybe two' and said that it reminded him of 'high school' flings.

It’s reported, however, that upon hearing her son was in a relationship with a man, Page’s mother, Martha Philpotts, was 'over the moon'.

Also, on the subject of Inception, Page further stated that while filming, he felt very out of place.

An extract from the autobiography reads: “Shingles popped out of my spine while filming Inception when I was 22.

“In a cast full of cis men, I did not understand the role I found myself in. Despite everyone being delightful to work with, I felt out of place.

“For the first two weeks of the film I joked I would be recast with Keira Knightly, and rightfully so. Shingles communicated the stress my body felt, what my words could not.”

Page’s passionate memoir Pageboy is out now.
