Former Adult Star Jenna Jameson Unable To Walk After Heartbreaking Diagnosis
Former adult star Jenna Jameson has been hospitalised and is currently unable to walk.
Jameson, a mother-of-three once known as the ‘Queen of Porn‘, is currently receiving treatment, with her partner Lior Bitton recently revealing she’d spent a few days in hospital after ‘not feeling so good’ and struggling with nausea for around two weeks.
‘Then she came back home and she couldn’t carry herself. Her muscles in her legs were very weak. So she wasn’t able to walk to the bathroom. She was falling on the way back or to the bathroom, I would have to pick her up and carry her to bed. And then within two days, it got really not so good, her legs started to not hold her, she wasn’t able to walk,’ he said.
After receiving CT, MRI and spinal tap tests, the 47-year-old was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare condition that causes your immune system to attack the nerves, ‘causing muscle weakness and sometimes paralysis’ according to the CDC. While ‘most people recover fully’, some are left with ‘permanent nerve damage’.
As a result, Jameson is unable to walk. ‘She’s doing physical therapy to try and stand on her legs, but at the moment she cannot stand on her legs. They’re starting the treatment so they’ll see how it goes. So keep praying,’ Bitton said, adding she’s been given a high dose of immunoglobulin therapy.
In a video posted to her Instagram, Jameson also confirmed her diagnosis. ‘First of all thank you for all the love and support through my DMs. I see each and every one of you, and I appreciate it. The doctors suspect Guillain-Barré syndrome and have started my IVIG treatment. I am in the hospital and will likely remain here until treatment is complete. I hope to be out of here soon,’ she wrote.
‘PS I did NOT get the jab or any jab. This is NOT a reaction to the jab. Thank you for your concern,’ she added, echoing her past anti-vaxx views.
