Grimes Shows Off New Tattoo And Reveals Plans For 'Full Body Alien Piece'
Grimes has shared a tattoo update with her fans, and revealed her plans for the out-of-this-world design.
In her Instagram stories, Grimes showed off the new white ink tattoo, which is located on her torso, and discussed her plans to be 'totally covered' in the alien-like design.
Last year, Grimes made headlines after showcasing her alien back tattoo to TikTok. Her new design appears to be in the same style.
She explained, 'I was so vibed into record promo I forgot to post abt this amazing tattoo I got from @w4th.co.'
Grimes wrote that the process was a 'long slow effort to have a full alien body' and that she was going to be 'totally covered in white ink/..post-human'.
However, this isn't the only connection Grimes has to aliens – her ex, Elon Musk, could end up meeting them as part of further space exploration with his company, SpaceX.
Grimes and Musk, who ended their three-year relationship in September 2021, have a son together, named X Æ A-Xii.
Discussing the end of their relationship to Page Six at the time, Musk said they are 'semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms'.
He added that the reason for the pair's split was primarily logistical, saying, 'It's mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in LA. She's staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room.'
On Wednesday, January 26, Grimes promoted her new single, Shinigami Eyes, on Instagram.
The song features Jennie Ruby Jane, and the singer captioned the post, 'thank u so much to my epic team', and thanked them individually for their work on the new song and music video.
Grimes has claimed that she will be changing her daily job once her next album is fully out.
In December, the star tweeted, 'Celebrity culture is suffocating a f,' before adding, 'I'm not quitting music but changing my main day job after BOOK 1. Music industry feels old and tired, reliant on archaic systems.'
