Jack Nicholson had very flirty exchange with Jennifer Lawrence at his last ever Oscars ceremony

Jack Nicholson praised Jennifer Lawrence in a flirty exchange for her work at his last-ever Oscars ceremony

Jack Nicholson had a very flirty exchange with Jennifer Lawrence at his last-ever Oscar ceremony a few years ago.

The actor won the Best Actress award at the 85th Academy Awards for her role in the David O. Russell film Silver Linings Playbook back in 2013.

Following her win, none other than Jack Nicholson interrupted one of her interviews and the sweet - and somewhat - flirty exchange saw Nicholson praise Lawrence for her work, saying that she did 'such a beautiful job' and he 'loved' her in Silver Linings Playbook. Have a listen:

Lawrence was interviewed by famous Hollywood journalist George Stephanopoulos when Nicholson sneakily interrupted the interview.

He said to the Oscar-winner actress: "You did such a beautiful job!"

Nicholson couldn't stop himself from congratulating her numerous times and after leaving, he then snuck into the shot again, adding: "I didn’t mean to cross into your interview but I had to congratulate you."

“You look like an old girlfriend of mine."

To Lawrence's surprise, she charmingly replied: “Really? Do I look like a new girlfriend?”

The Academy award-winning actress later revealed: "He’s sent me flowers and a bottle of Cristal and a note that said ‘Missing you already.’ Not to brag."

She added: "I should’ve probably kept that a secret so it could just be between me and Jack."

For those who don't know, Nicholson is an octogenarian actor who retired 12 years ago, as well as a three-time Oscar winner, and 12-time nominee.

He won Best Actor at the 1976 ceremony for One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, the second one for Terms of Endearment in 1984, and the third one for As Good As It Gets in 1998.

The actor was recently spotted on the balcony of his Beverly Hills home and was unfortunately criticised for his appearance by online trolls.

This recent sighting came nearly two years after he was last seen at LA Lakers and Golden State Warriors game in October 2021.

Nicholson's public appearances are few and far between, and one of these rare occasions was when he was stopped by fans to sign autographs back in 2016.

But the actor had been tipped to star in an upcoming TV mini-series called Napoleon, which still appears as an upcoming project on his IMDb page.

The series is based on the script for one of Stanley Kubrick's lost projects, which is being developed as a seven-part series for HBO.

Kubrick originally planned to film the historical epic after the success of 2001: A Space Odyssey, with Nicholson and David Hemmings attached to play Napoleon at various stages, and Audrey Hepburn to appear as Josephine. However, the film was abandoned due to spiralling costs.

The mini-series already has Steven Spielberg on board, but it's unclear if Nicholson will star.
