Jason Momoa Reportedly Living In A Van Following Divorce From Lisa Bonet

Weeks after Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet shocked fans by announcing their divorce, the Aquaman star has got himself set up in some new digs.

Weeks after Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet shocked fans by announcing their divorce, it appears the Aquaman star has got himself set up in some new digs.

No longer staying in the California mansion he and Bonet previously called home with their two children, it's been reported that Momoa has opted for altogether more humble dwellings as he enters life as a single man for the first time in 15 years, with the actor said to be now living in an RV in his friend's back yard.

It's not clear whether Momoa, 42, is a permanent resident in the van, or whether he likes to stay there on occasion, but images shared by The Sun show the Game of Thrones breakout star seems perfectly at home living the simple life, as he's seen wandering around his RV in the California beachside property.

It's an unexpected move for a Hollywood star, but let's not rush to knock the van life. Momoa's new residence isn't just any old refurbished Ford Transit – it's a custom EarthRoamer XV-LTi 026 that the star reportedly dropped an eye-watering $750,000 on a few years back, meaning this particular van cost more than most people's homes.

A source told the paper, 'He stays in it quite often and has opted to sleep in there instead of getting a hotel on set so he can be by the beach. He's really not a private jet, luxury resort kind of guy.'

Raised in Hawaii, Momoa has often spoken about his desire to be closer to nature, and has used his platform to campaign for action on climate change, telling the UN in a speech that humans are 'a disease infecting our planet', and urging leaders to stop 'half-a**ing' it when it comes to environmental polices.

Since the couple announced their separation earlier this month, there's been speculation that Momoa intends to spend more time campaigning in Hawaii on environmental and other issues.

In a statement, the pair cited wider changes in the world as contributing to their split, saying 'we have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding ~and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring.'
