Kim Kardashian Shows Support For Pete Davidson After Kanye West's Disturbing Music Video

West's music video appeared to show him killing Davidson.

Kim Kardashian has showed support for Pete Davidson on Twitter, after Kanye West released a music video in which he seemingly kills the Saturday Night Live star.

West made no effort to hide his disdain for his ex-wife's new boyfriend when he created the music video for his track Eazy, which surprised viewers when it was released on Tuesday, March 1.

The video features clay stop-motion animation, and shows a figure seemingly modelled after the rapper throwing a bag over the head of another figure who appears to resemble Davidson.

The second figure is then driven away on a motorbike before being buried in the ground and having rose seeds sprinkled on his head. Interspersed with the claymation is footage of the real West holding a fake disfigured head that also looks like Davidson, while West's lyrics clear up any doubt about who the figure is supposed to be.

In the song, he raps, 'God saved me from that crash / Just so I can beat Pete Davidson's a**', while a woman in the background asks, 'Who?'

The video comes to an end with a note that says 'everyone lives happily ever after', except 'you know who'. It then adds: 'JK he's fine.'

Viewers were quick to express their shock at the video on social media, with some siding with West while others defended Davidson. Among the latter group was The Suicide Squad director James Gunn, who expressed high praise for Davidson in the days after the release of Eazy.

Writing on Twitter, he said: 'For the record, Pete Davidson is one of the nicest, sweetest guys I know. A truly generous, tender, and funny spirit, he treats everyone around him with respect.'

Though Kardashian has largely kept quiet about the issues West seems to have with Davidson, she reportedly showed some support for the comedian by being one of the 57,000 people to like Gunn's post, according to Wonderwall.

Citing Instagram account Comments By Celebs, The Independent also reports that Kardashian retweeted Gunn’s message, though the post has since been removed from her profile.

Notably, the music video for Eazy dropped on the same day that a judge ruled Kardashian legally single following eight years of marriage to West, with whom she shares four children. The motion was passed at Los Angeles County Superior Court after Kardashian made the request for the legal change in December, allowing her to change her marital status before she and West work out the details of child custody and property.
