Michael Jackson’s Son 'Blanket' Has New Nickname After Completely Reinventing Himself

Michael Jackson's youngest child, commonly known as 'Blanket', has totally reinvented himself and given himself a brand-new nickname to boot.

Blanket Jackson, whose official name from birth is Prince Michael Jackson II, first entered the public eye way back in 2002 when his father, Michael Jackson, held the infant off a hotel balcony to groups of paparazzi and press below.

Now 20 years old, it's fair to say Blanket – or as he's now known, Bigi – has changed quite a bit from his first outing in the spotlight.

After an early childhood in the public eye, alongside his two siblings Paris and Prince Jackson, Bigi was rarely seen again in public spheres.

However, in November 2021, Bigi made a rare appearance alongside his brother and sister to call for action against climate change.

Delving into the decision to step back into the public eye, the three siblings explained during an interview in November with Good Morning Britain that they united to take action to save the planet.

During the long-awaited interview, Bigi went into some detail about his father's legacy, and stated: "There’s a lot of really cool stuff here, there’s a lot of history here in this house and the studio here, that’s what he was all about. That’s what each of us want to do, make some things that people hopefully enjoy but also that benefit their lives. I do think it’s important that we all know about [climate change], I think we have some work to do, but our generation knows how important it is.

As a fully-grown adult now, it has since been reported that Bigi recently invested in a whopping $2.7 million mansion out in California.

The new property is said to comprise an impressive six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and a huge swimming pool – alongside a whole host of celebrity neighbours – some of which even include none other than reality TV star Kim Kardashian.

Many fans and supporters have since rushed to share their sentiments over Bigi's all-new reinvention.

"It's not easy coping with the death of a parent. Glad to see he's doing better. Only wish good things for the offspring of MJ," wrote one Facebook user.

A second echoed the praise: "Good for him. Love his name and wish him a lot of luck."

"I would change my name too. Hopefully he can have a normal life," empathised a third.
