Miley Cyrus has described her marriage to Liam Hemsworth as a 'f***ing disaster'.

The singer was performing at Lollapalooza festival in São Paulo, Brazil, on Saturday (26 March) when she invited a couple up to the stage to get engaged.

After one of the fans went down on one knee and popped the question to his partner in front of the crowd of thousands, Cyrus yelled: "Yes, forever b***h."

The 29-year-old then offered a quick hug and congratulations, before adding: "Honey I hope your marriage goes better than mine - mine was a f***ing disaster."

Cyrus got hitched to 32-year-old actor Hemsworth in 2018 after dating on and off for almost 10 years - sadly though, it wasn't to be for the couple, and they announced their separation after just eight months of marriage.

Since then, she's been quite happy to make light of their failed marriage.

In 2020, she popped up out of nowhere on TikTok to wish another couple a better marriage than hers.

The 'Wrecking Ball' singer shocked fans after she responded to a comment she'd been tagged in, taking a playful swipe at her ill-fated marriage to Hemsworth in the process.

Miley Cyrus' Plane Struck By Lightning And Forced To Make Emergency Landing

The couple in question shared a video of themselves dancing around, writing: "if Miley Cyrus comments [we] will get married"; presumably, the pair were not expecting to get a response from the pop star.

However, Cyrus wrote back: "Hope it goes better for you two than it did for me. Congrats."

Speaking on Howard Stern's SiriusXM radio show around the time, she said she still had love for her former hubby. "I really do and did love him very, very, very much and still do, always will," she said.

But she explained there had been 'too much conflict' between the couple. "When I come home, I want to be anchored by someone. I don't get off on drama or fighting," she added.

Cyrus also paid tribute to Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins at Lollapalooza, after his death was announced on Saturday (26 March).

The tearful star said it made her 'really sad' that she was unable to have a last goodbye with her friend, due to her plane having to make an emergency landing, before dedicating a rendition of 'Angels Like You' to the drummer.
