Elon Musk once donated $1 million to MrBeast

MrBeast revealed that Elon Musk once gave him a million pounds as if the bloke being offered a billion for his YouTube channel wasn't enough

MrBeast has revealed that Elon Musk once gave him a million pounds, as if the bloke being offered $1 billion for his YouTube channel wasn't enough.

Look, we all have our own subtle flexes, and we're quickly coming to realise that MrBeast's flex is being offered obscene amounts of money.

Yep, fresh off the revelation that the popular YouTuber could've joined the billionaires' club, he let it slip that he was offered a cool mil from one of the richest men in the world.

For those not familiar, the 24-year-old American star, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, is one of the most followed people on YouTube - with a staggering 105 million subscribers.

He's had several huge projects in the past year, one of which included recreating the Netflix smash hit Squid Game on his channel.

And on one occasion, he even caught the attention of the richest man in the world.

The $1 million donation came about when MrBeast was promoting his #TeamTree fundraiser a few years back.

He has teamed up with the Arbor Day Foundation to try and plant 20 million trees, and he'd set himself a target of $20 million in donations to do so.

Speaking to the Lessons in 30s channel, MrBeast said: "When we did team trees, so our goal was $20 million and we hit like $6 million in the first few days and it started to slow down.

"And then out of nowhere, Elon Musk just replied to one of my tweets, and he's just like, oh, this looks interesting."

He went on to explain that his friend and fellow YouTuber Marques Brownlee told the tech mogul more about the project.

MrBeast continued: "Marques was like, 'This is cool, you should donate,' and he was like 'Sure, why not?'

"And then Elon just donated a million dollars."

Musk's interest in the project also meant donations from others came fooding in.

MrBeast said: "All of a sudden now the world cares. It really like revived it."

Musk isn't the only one offering the YouTuber serious money, as he recently told the FLAGRANT podcast that someone had offered him $1 billion for his channel.

As the content creator told host Andrew Schulz, there's been a fair few parties interested in purchasing his channel: "There’s people, not like official term sheets, but you know like people that would actually be able to afford it.

"Like you know, ‘a billion dollars if we could own the channel and the companies’ and stuff like that. And I’m like, ‘oh that sounds enticing but I don’t know if I want to work for my YouTube channel'."

Yep, a whole billion dollars, and MrBeast wasn't interested, which might just be one of the most baller moves we've ever seen.
