50 Cent criticizes Nick Cannon for having 12 kids and says he wouldn't want the responsibility

The rapper said he regretted buying a large house, and called his yacht a 'hole in the water'

Rapper 50 Cent has opened up about not wanting to have a large family after expressing regret that he bought a large house.

The musician was recently interviewed by Forbes' Brian J. Roberts on YouTube, with the pair talking about various elements of his career. This included sections on fame, as well as the 'death' of R&B music and the truth about being successful.

Among the many topics covered in the interview was that of having children, which the musician briefly touched on during a conversation about how he regretted buying such a large house.

50 Cent said that there didn't seem much point in having such a large house if there weren't that many people in there, and that at the end of the day he would only occupy the same amount of space as if he had a smaller place.

The rapper went on to say that such a large house would make sense if he had a lot of children, like Nick Cannon.

He said: "If I had Nick Cannon's 12 kids or s**t like that, you could put them all in a bedroom. Everybody's here. Putting them all together doesn't make sense."

He continued: "But I'm not going to have kids like that. I don't want the responsibility of that many women that you got to deal with emotionally, especially after they don't feel like your friend anymore."

He added: "I don't know what the f**k is wrong with Nick Cannon."

Nonetheless, 50 Cent was quick to correct himself after the remarks. He said: "I have to work on that," adding that that was the 'old 50 Cent'.

The rapper has two children, the first, 26-year-old Marquise, with former girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins. His second child, 10-year-old Sire Jackson, was born in 2012 to him and Daphne Joy.

Fellow rapper Nick has previously drawn significant media attention over his fathering of twelve children with a large number of women.

The musician has 12 children with six women. Of his twelve children, nine were born between 2020 and 2023.

At present, 50 Cent is moving towards the end of an enormous tour made up of almost 100 dates. The tour marks the 20th anniversary of the rapper's debut Get Rich or Die Tryin'.

The musician had also reportedly attempted to buy BET along with Shaquille O'Neal. The pair had reportedly bid $2 billion for the network before Paramount decided not to sell.
