Angie Harmon has been left 'traumatized' after an incident over the Easter weekend.
Taking to Instagram yesterday (April 1), the Law & Order star revealed that one of her dogs, Ollie, had died.
Not only that, but she told how a delivery driver bringing food to her North Carolina home fatally shot the dog.
In an emotional post on the social media platform, Harmon explained that she had used Instacart, which provides a service similar to companies like DoorDash but specialising in delivering groceries.

She wrote: "This Easter weekend a man delivering groceries for Instacart shot & killed our precious Oliver. He got out of his car, delivered the food & THEN shot our dog.
"Our ring camera was charging in the house, which he saw & then knew he wasn't being recorded."
She explained that although they called the police they didn't take any further action.
"The police let him go b/c he claimed 'self defense'," she wrote. "He did not have a scratch or bite on him nor were his pants torn.

"He shot our dog with my daughters & myself at home & just kept saying, 'yeah, I shot your dog. Yeah I did'."
In a separate post on her Instagram Story, Harmon wrote: "To the man who took Ollie away from us: your actions are despicable and inexcusable. You've not only robbed us of a beloved member of our family but you've also traumatized us beyond measure.
"The fact that someone could commit such a heartless act is beyond comprehension to me and I'm devastated that I didn't get to say goodbye to him."

People took to the comments to offer their sympathies and condolences over Ollie's death.
One person wrote: "Oh my God, I’m horrified and beyond disbelief… I can’t even begin to imagine. Stunned."
A second replied: "I am so incredibly sorry. This is truly heartbreaking. Sending you love and strength."
A third posted: "Oh my God, Angie I am so horrified and devastated for you! That is the unthinkable! I’m so sorry sweetheart and so sorry for your family and your precious Ollie."
Instacart has said that it is in contact with Harmon, and is working with law enforcement on the incident.

A spokesperson for Instacart told UNILAD in a statement: "“We were deeply saddened and disturbed to hear about this incident. We have no tolerance for violence of any kind, and the shopper account was immediately suspended from our platform.
"We have been in direct contact with the customer and are cooperating with law enforcement on their investigation."
As per EW, a representative for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said: "On Saturday, March 30, 2024, shortly before noon, officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s South Division responded to a residence... for a report of a dog being shot. Upon arrival, officers located and spoke to all involved parties."
"The investigation revealed that a delivery driver arrived at the residence to deliver consumable goods," the statement continued. "The driver told officers that a dog attacked him while he was at the residence and that he defended himself by firing a single gunshot, striking and mortally wounding the dog. Another dog was present at the residence but did not attack.

"No criminal charges have been filed in relation to this incident, and CMPD is not currently seeking any additional parties. CMPD’s Animal Care and Control also responded to the scene."
UNILAD has reached out to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department for further comment.
