Cara Delevingne's parents have revealed the cause behind the $7 million house fire which has left the model 'devastated.'
The 31-year-old model posted to Instagram that her 'heart was broken' after discovering a fire had broken out at her multi-million dollar home, while she was in performing in London.
The star was performing in 'Cabaret' in London's West End when she was told of the fire that had engulfed her home back in Studio City, California.

She was said to be 'devastated' by the news, and believed that her beloved cats had perished at the scene, as she posted a picture of her two exotic shorthairs along with the caption: "My heart is broken today. I cannot believe it. Life can change in a blink of an eye. So cherish what you have."
94 firefighters and 13 firetrucks reportedly arrived on the scene to tackle the blaze and Cara's cats were later revealed to be safe and sound being carried away from the area.
Delevingne soon posted to her social media, saying: "They are alive!! Thank you to the firefighters," followed by a red heart emoji.
Although her cats were rescued, the rest of the property was reported to be unsalvageable.
The model thanked firefighters who quickly arrived to the scene after a 911 call was made, as she shared her gratitude, writing: " 'Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the firefighters and people that showed up to help.....'

It is believed that the blaze started in a backroom of the property and spread quickly to the attic which is what caused the roof to collapse, as shown in images obtained by Daily Mail.
The model's parents revealed that the cause of the fire is believed to be due to 'electrical issues.'
Her parents, Pandora and Charles, were approached by the media and revealed that their daughter was 'devastated' by the blaze.
"She had everything in her house, her whole life. She built it, she made it. She has everything in it," her mother shared.
When asked how she was doing following the incident, they replied with 'she's probably devastated.'

At the time the fire broke out, her cats and another occupant were in the property, the individual managed to escape and is now being treated for smoke inhalation.
