Daniel Radcliffe hooked up to lie detector test reveals the weirdest fan fiction he's read about himself

From Harry Potter stories to ones about himself, he's heard it all.

Most celebrities have had some form of fan fiction written about them - and that includes Daniel Radcliffe.

The Harry Potter star shot to fame in the franchise at the young age of 12, alongside the likes of Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, and has since starred in a host of other films and stage productions.

In light of his decades-long fame, Radcliffe has had some odd fan fiction written about him and he revealed all in a recent lie detector test conducted by Vanity Fair.

34-year-old Radcliffe was grilled by his Merrily We Roll Along co-stars Jonathan Groff and Lindsay Mendez, and was asked about an array of topics.

"Have you ever read fan fiction about yourself?" asked Groff.

Radcliffe says yes before he's further asked about the weirdest things he's seen.

"There's a lot of shipping of Harry and Draco [Malfoy] as characters together," he said.

Mindhunter star Groff didn't know what 'shipping' meant, which Radcliffe explains means that you want two people to get together.

Sharing stories written about him personally, the actor went on to give examples.

He listed: "[One was] that I had the SAS walk my dogs, that I had special beer brewed for myself my monks in a monastery in Belgium, that I used to get my assistant to hold my script in the mirror so I could read them while having make-up done."

Off the back of the last one, Radcliffe noted that 'that doesn't make f**king sense' because you can't read something backwards.

The trio have a barrage of laughs throughout the interview and they're evidently close pals - something which shows in their theatre performance of Merrily We Go Along.

Their bond on stage has been hailed as 'unshakable' by The New York Times.

The synopsis for the musical reads: "Merrily We Roll Along begins in the present and moves backwards, tracing the lives of wealthy, jaded composer, Franklin Shepard, and his two estranged friends through each milestone of their personal and professional lives (good and bad)."

Radcliffe stars as Charley, while Groff plays Franklin Shepard and Mendez plays Lindsay Mendez.

Variety has since described Mendez and Groff as having 'wonderful voices and stage presence', and hailed Radcliffe as being 'very competent in the role'.

Away from broadway and acting, Radcliffe recently welcomed his first child with his girlfriend Erin Darke.

Speaking of fatherhood, the Woman in Black star said: "It's crazy and intense, but he's wonderful and Erin is amazing - it's a real privilege also to have this time with him."
