Someone has bid nearly $100,000 to own the microphone Cardi B threw at a fan

The mic made its way to eBay earlier this week, and it's already going for tens of thousands.

A fan has bid close to $100,000 to purchase the mic that Cardi B threw at an audience member during her Las Vegas concert.

The device made its way to eBay earlier this week, and the bids are coming in thick and fast.

Scott Fisher, the man who originally paid $1,000 for it, told TMZ: "It was pretty easy to track down the mic after the show, because the white tape across the bottom of it says 'MAIN', and it still works despite Cardi chucking it into the crowd."

Fisher put a starting bid on the eBay listing for $500, and it has now reached a staggering $99,900.

A very smart investment, to say the least.

"This is the Shure microphone shown in all the viral videos that Cardi B threw at a person in the crown at Drais Beach Club on July 29th 2023," the seller said.

"There are literally tons of links to videos all over the internet.

"You can see in the videos the white tape across the bottom."

The seller will be donating the money made from the sale to two charities.

The first is a local Las Vegas charity called Friendship Circle Las Vegas, which 'has teens and young adults volunteers helping children, teens and other young adults with special needs'.

The second is the Wounded Warrior Project, which 'helps to bring independence back to our most severely wounded veterans'.

The ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper made headlines while performing at Drai’s Beachclub and threw the object at the crowd after an audience member tossed a drink at her.

Security guards then escorted the woman who threw her liquor from the gig.

In recent months, there have been numerous occasions of objects being hurled at singer’s while performing.

It all started with singer Bebe Rexha, who was rushed off stage after one audience member threw a phone at her face, while Kelsea Ballerini was forced to halt her concert after being hit by an object shortly afterwards.

Drake had a phone thrown his way while onstage, and Harry Styles has been pelted with objects multiple times during his Harry's House tour this year.

In July, Adele even made light of the trend during a show in Las Vegas when she set off a t-shirt cannon into the audience.

The 'Rolling in the Deep' singer told the audience: "Have you noticed how people are, like, forgetting f**king show etiquette at the moment?

"Throwing s**t on stage, have you seen them? I f**king dare you, I dare you throw something at me, I'll f**king kill you."

She then lifted up the t-shirt cannon and fired it into the crowd, yelling: “Stop throwing things at the artist.”

You could say she completely ‘turned the tables’ on that one.
