It wouldn't be live television without some mess-ups.
It appeared as if last night's Oscars (March 10) went quite swimmingly compared previous years, and I'm sure we're all pleased to know that no one was aggressively slapped across the face on stage.
But Al Pacino made a bit of a bit of an error while presenting the award for this year's Best Picture.
The likes of The Holdovers, Poor Things, Killers of the Flower Moon and Barbie were all nominated for the highly coveted award, with Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer going on to win.

However, rather than listing off the nominees before announcing the winner, Pacino simply steamed ahead and went straight to naming Oppenheimer.
His presenting was labelled as a little bit 'chaotic' by viewers, but entertaining all the same.
"I’m obsessed with the way Al Pacino announced Oppenheimer as Best Picture. Couldn’t have been more chaotic or confusing lol," one X user wrote.
"Al Pacino announced Best Picture like this was the first time he had ever heard of a film called Oppenheimer," a second added.

Some, however, questioned if the 83-year-old actor was given the green light to skip past the nominees as there was a fair few of them this year.
But others have suggested that there may have been a deeper meaning to his suspected faux pas.
Noting that Barbie made a tongue-in-cheek dig at Pacino's movie The Godfather when the Kens take over Barbieland, one person suggested on social media: "The Academy bringing Al Pacino, from The Godfather, to deliver the Best Picture #Oscar to Oppenheimer instead of Barbie, a movie that mocked Kens’ obsession with The Godfather, is CRAZY."

Echoing similar sentiments, another said: "My wife Claire’s Oscar take: after the Barbie scene mocking Ken’s love of The Godfather, it’s hard not to see the Academy’s choice of Al Pacino to present Oppenheimer with best picture as anything other than a MIDDLE FINGER to Barbie."

A third went on to add: "I’m actually mad Barbie didn’t win best picture now even though I was [rooting] for Poor Things because can you imagine the absolute hilarity of Al Pacino presenting that after The Godfather joke in the movie, I mean come on??"
But, after decades in the movie business, it's very likely Pacino took the apparent Barbie jibe with a pinch of salt.
Let's not make something from nothing, folks.
