It'll take quite a while

I'm not sure about you, but my wage packet dwindles away at a much quicker rate than I'd like.

Many will probably feel the same, especially in the current financial climate - but this is very unlikely to be an issue Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk will ever face.

Amazon founder Bezos has a net worth of $193.8 billion (as of 2024), while Tesla and SpaceX mogul Musk has net worth of $198.4 billion.

According to Forbes' real-time billionaires list, Musk is the second richest man in the world, with Bezos following closely behind in third.

Taking the top spot is Bernard Arnault and his family. They own LVMH - the world's largest luxury goods company.

With Bezos and Musk's huge net worths in mind, it probably comes as no surprise that it's practically impossible for both men to go broke in their lifetimes.

In fact, as to exactly how long it would take if they were spend a cool $1 million every day, it would still take around 476 years to run out of cash.

It's believed that the two billionaires have some similar spending habits; especially as they both head space tech companies SpaceX and Blue Origin.

Away from business ventures though, Musk seems to steer clear of life's luxuries.

Even his ex-girlfriend Grimes, real name Claire Boucher, said he 'does not live like a billionaire'.

She previously told Vanity Fair: "Bro lives at times below the poverty line, to the point where I was like, 'Can we not live in a very insecure $40,000 house? Where the neighbors, like, film us, and there's no security, and I'm eating peanut butter for eight days in a row?'"

In 2020, the 52-year-old decided to sell his five huge homes in favor of living in a $50,000 house in Boca Chica, Texas.

In contrast, Bezos is said to have a $570 million property portfolio.

He revealed last year that he's relocating to Miami from Seattle to be closer to his parents.

Bezos announced the news of his move on social media shortly after purchasing a $79 million mansion on Indian Creek Island.

The 19,064 square feet property boasts seven bedrooms and 14 bathrooms.

Bezos is also quite fond of super yachts and owns a one-of-a-kind $500 million vessel.

The boat is so big that it doesn't fit into your typical yacht docks, and has to be docked next to 600-foot oil tankers.

How the other half live, ey?
