Pop princess Olivia Rodrigo has finally opened up regarding the rumored feud between herself and Taylor Swift.
Earlier this summer, Rodrigo put out two new songs - ‘Vampire’ and ‘Bad Idea Right?’ - before dropping her sophomore album Guts.
Upon ‘Vampire’ debuting at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 list, fans and critics alike were quick to shower praise on the 20-year-old’s 'fantastic' lead single.
As well as appeasing her dedicated fanbase, Rodrigo saw her effort rewarded with six prestigious MTV Video Music Award nominations including Best Editing, which she eventually won.

However, the former Disney star's track has also been the subject of mass speculation due to its somewhat savage lyrics.
Many fans speculated the line, ‘bloodsucker, fame f******, bleedin’ me dry like a goddamn vampire!’ is a reference to fellow singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift.
Following the rumor mill going into overdrive, Rodrigo has finally had her say and put the speculation to bed.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, the ‘good 4 u’ singer said: "I don't have beef with anyone.

"I'm very chill. I keep to myself. I have my four friends and my mom, and that's really the only people I talk to, ever.”
In regards to whether the ‘Vampire’ lyrics specifically reference Swift, Rodrigo doubled down and claimed that there was ‘nothing to say’.
“There's so many Twitter conspiracy theories. I only look at alien conspiracy theories,” she added.
Social media users first thought there had been a falling-out between the pair after the 20-year-old gave Swift and Jack Antonoff 50 percent songwriting credits and royalties on tracks ‘deja vu’ and ‘1 step forward, 3 steps back’.
It’s said that the songs interpolated Swift's efforts ‘Cruel Summer’ and ‘New Year’s Day’, which led to the dispute.

However, Rodrigo has neither confirmed nor denied that Swift ever specifically requested credits on either track.
"It's not something that I was super involved in," she told the publication.
"It was more team-on-team. So, I wouldn't be the best person to ask."
Interestingly, the Rolling Stone interview is not the first time that Rodrigo has addressed the rumors that ‘Vampire’ is about Swift.

In a recent interview with The Guardian, the songwriter said: “How do I answer this? I mean, I never want to say who any of my songs are about.
“I’ve never done that before in my career and probably won’t.”
“I think it’s better to not pigeonhole a song to being about this one thing,” Rodrigo further stated.
