Rebel Wilson claims Hollywood star 'threatened her' over calling him out in tell-all memoir

The actor teased a chapter in her upcoming book deals with an as yet unnamed 'a*shole', who she claimed has tried threatened her

Rebel Wilson has claimed that someone featured in her upcoming book has 'threatened' her over the memoir's contents.

The Pitch Perfect star revealed that her upcoming book includes one chapter which deals with the behaviour of an 'a*shole' that she had worked with previously.

Though the individual concerned has not yet been named, Wilson has claimed that they are 'trying to threaten' her over the chapter's contents.

The book, called Rebel Rising, is scheduled to be released on April 2.

Wilson also claimed in a social media post that the person in question has a hired a crisis PR manager, someone who specialises in managing difficult or potentially damaging situations.

Writing on her social media page, Wilson said: “Now the a**hole is trying to threaten me. He’s hired a crisis PR manager and lawyers. He’s trying to stop press coming out about my new book. But the book WILL come out and you will all know the truth.”

The actor went on to explain that she adopted a 'no a*sholes' policy when she came to Hollywood.

She clarified that someone had recommended she do that, and it had seemed like a sensible idea.

Wilson wrote: “When I first came to Hollywood, people were like, ‘Yeah, I have a no-a**holes policy that means, like, I don’t work with a**holes’. I was like, ‘Yeah, I mean, that sounds sensible and logical.’”

However, the actor said that initially she had not actually understood the full extent of what that meant.

But, she explained, working with the person in question made her realise exactly what having a 'no a*sholes policy' would mean.

She said: “But then it really sunk in what they were meaning by that, older people in the industry.

"Because I worked with a massive a**hole, and, yeah, now I definitely have a a**holes policy. Chapter on said a**hole – it is chapter 23, that guy was a massive a**hole.”

While the person in question has not been named, Wilson has said that she plans to name them when the book is released.

Wilson has also recently opened up about her body image after she gained weight.

The actor said that she had gained 14kg (30lbs), saying that 'it makes me feel bad about myself … it shouldn’t … but it does'.

She added: “I’m really proud of the work I’ve been doing on new movies and my memoir, it’s just been a LOT and I’ve lost focus on my healthy lifestyle. Anyone else going through the same thing?”
