Snoop Dogg's 24-year-old daughter Cori has suffered a 'severe stroke'

The rapper's daughter took to her Instagram stories to share the news with followers.

Snoop Dogg's daughter Cori Broadus has taken to social media to reveal she's 'had a severe stroke'.

The 'Doggyland' rapper's youngest child took to her Instagram earlier today (18 January) to share photographs from a hospital bed.

The 24-year-old is the daughter of Snoop and entrepreneur Shante Broadus - who's been married to the rapper since 1997.

Broadus shared two images to her Instagram story earlier today - the first, an image of a hospital bed and sheets.

The caption reads: "I had a severe stroke this am. I started breaking down crying when they told me."

And the second - over an image of Broadus in a hoodie and protective face mask - states: "Like I'm only 24 what did I do in my past to deserve all of this."

And it's not the first time Broadus has publicly spoken out about her health.

Broadus was diagnosed with Lupus at the age of six.

As per the Lupus Foundation of America, Lupus 'is a chronic (long-term) disease that can cause inflammation and pain in any part of your body. It’s an autoimmune disease, which means that your immune system - the body system that usually fights infections - attacks healthy tissue instead'.

In an interview with People in September 2023, Broadus said she was doing 'better' than she'd 'ever been', however she similarly reflected on how it's a 'lot' to be aged 24 and going through so much with her health.

Explaining why she decided to take an 'all natural' approach to her health, she said: "I've had medication since I was six years old, depending on these drugs all my life. So I wanted better for myself.

"I wanted to change because it just became a lot. I'm only 24 years old, taking 10 to 12 pills every single day. So I kind of just went cold turkey."

She resolved to People that despite having days where she's 'sick' she still feels 'blessed' and able to 'do what [she] love[s]' and 'tell [her] story'.

However, she notes there are also times she wishes she wasn't sick and questions what her life would be like if she was 'normal'.

She resolved at the time: "It's part of being human. You're going to have bad days, you're not going to always have good days."
