A woman has achieved something we have all dreamt about…
Natalia Dzenkiv, 41, was detained at passport control by officials who didn’t believe how old she was, saying she looked about 20 years younger.
I mean I would rather not be quizzed over my passport but it is a great compliment people saying you look a lot younger than you actually are!
The singer of the pop group Lama, who won the Best Ukrainian Act award at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2007, was baffled after she was stopped by officials who believed she must be using someone else’s passport.
Natalia was travelling home to Ukraine from Turkey when she was called into a quiet room for questioning.
When I found out the reason for my arrest, I even started laughing as it was [the] age in my passport.
I am already used to compliments about the way I look, but I couldn’t have imagined that it might be a reason for detaining me.
Last week Human Ken Doll Daniel Alves was held up by border patrol in Dubai who did not recognise his photo. But fortunately Natalia was able to get through her hold up.
Unable to prove who she was, luckily Natalia’s fans were on hand and started recognising the popular singer asking for autographs.
This convinced officials to let her through.
I am not sure if this the best way to identify someone but at least Natalia was let through!
