Snoop Dogg Could Face Lawsuit After Mocking Delivery Driver

Rap legend Snoop Dogg could now face a lawsuit for taking to Instagram to call out an Uber Eats driver.

On Thursday, January 27, at around 11.00pm, the 50-year-old rapper became clearly annoyed with a food delivery driver over an order he apparently never received.

Snoop later took to his social media to share a video of the messages between himself and the driver. However he was widely criticized by followers for the way he spoke to him.

The delivery man, Sayd, is now reportedly taking the rapper to court for revealing his personal information online.

The since-deleted post of the 12 second video, in which Snoop called the driver a 'punk', amassed more than four million views and 12,000 comments, CBS Los Angeles reports.

Sayd stated: 'There’s my picture there and also there is my first name. After I see the video, I’m kind of like... I have anxiety and I fear for my family’s safety.'

The driver said he was unaware of who he was delivering the food to on the night, and cancelled the order after eight minutes as per Uber's protocol.

'I contacted the customer many times and I also followed the protocol by the book,' he explained.

After the incident, Uber issued an apology to the rapper. It said: 'We truly regret Snoop Dogg’s frustrating experience. We have reached to apologize and refunded him for the order.'

However, Sayd views this response as 'not [being] fair'.

'When I read that, I just felt like it’s not fair because I am the one that deserves an apology from Uber Eats, not Snoop,' he said.

The driver has also expressed concern and upset about being thrust into the limelight when he doesn't wish to be on social media. He also hasn't returned to his job at Uber Eats.

According to Hot New Whip Hop, Sayd has since filed a lawsuit against the rapper.

He concluded: 'I have to fight for my rights and my family’s rights. I just feel like I’m not really well from this delivery and also UberEats.'
