Steve-O Leads Jackass Star Tributes To Ryan Dunn On His 45th Birthday

Dunn passed away in a car crash at the age of 34

The cast of Jackass have been paying tribute to their former co-star Ryan Dunn on what would have been his 45th birthday.

Dunn worked as a writer and stunt performer for Jackass prior to his death in June 2011, having collaborated with the rest of the group on films such as Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Number Two and Jackass 3D.

The performer passed away at the age of 34 after crashing his car in Pennsylvania, but he was still honoured in the latest Jackass film with a tribute at the end which read "Ryan Dunn Forever".

Steve-O was among many of the Jackass stars to pay tribute to Dunn this weekend, when he would have celebrated his 45th birthday, with Steve-O honouring both his late mother and Dunn in an Instagram post featuring pictures of his two loved ones.

"Happy Birthday, Mom and Ryan… I love and miss you both…," he wrote.

Fellow stunt performer Johnny Knoxville also shared a picture of Dunn, writing: "Happy birthday Ryan, we sure love and miss you buddy."

Jackass co-creator Jeff Tremaine wrote: "Ryan, you are always on our mind. Happy Birthday!"

Both Preston Lacy and Dave England shared more explicit tributes to Dunn, with the latter describing him as the 'cl*t lord' while Lacy shared a picture of Dunn putting the 'ass' in Jackass. Weeman used his Instagram Story to share another image posted by England.

In an interview with Fox News following Dunn's death, Bam Magera described his co-star as 'the happiest person ever'.

He continued: "[He was] the smartest guy. So much talent and he had so many things going for him. It's just not right. It's not right. It was the worst phone call I've ever got in my life – waking up to that."

Tributes to Dunn continued on Twitter, where fans shared their own kind words about the Jackass star.

One wrote, "ryan dunn i miss and love you so much i hope you had such a happy birthday today," while another commented: "happy birthday to the random hero ryan dunn! your impact on the world goes far beyond than you'll ever know, and i hope wherever you are, youre smiling as hard as you make me [sic]."

Dunn's car crashed through a guardrail before landing in the nearby woods on the night of his death, with West Goshen Police Chief Michael Carroll later describing the scene as 'unbelievable'.
