Fans believe Kourtney Kardashian's pregnancy announcement at Blink 182 gig was 'staged'

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are expecting a baby together, making an announcement at a Blink-182 show

It’s not been longer than a few days since Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian announced their pregnancy at one of Travis’ Blink-182 shows, but already people are queuing up to say that it was 'staged'.

Here's that announcement if you haven't seen it:

The 44-year-old reality star informed her 47-year-old drummer husband that they are going to have their first child together by holding up a sign at the gig saying ‘Travis I’m pregnant’.

That’s not only a big public announcement of their good news, but also a reference to Blink’s 1999 hit ‘All The Small Things’ which featured a similar sign in the video.

Anyway, if Travis was playing up for the cameras, he made it look pretty realistic, as he climbed down from the stage to give his wife a big hug and a kiss.

It’s quite sweet, really.

However, that means that it’s also ripe for scepticism and cynicism from the people of the internet, and they’ve wasted no time in getting stuck in.

Kourtney held up a sign declaring the news.

They claimed that Kourtney appears to have a bit of a baby bump in the video, and questioned how her husband would have managed to go around without noticing that.

One comment reads: “Kourtney Kardashian announce [sic] that she’s pregnant at the concert and in the video she shows off a baby bump?

“How is it that Travis didn’t know she was pregnant? Sounds staged.”

Another person wrote: “Kourtney Kardashian telling Travis Barker she’s pregnant w [sic] a full on baby bump has me weak.

“Like people really think he didn’t know before the concert??”

Others have said that the pair’s often-spotted enjoyment of a public display of affection would have meant that there’s no way Travis didn’t know that Kourtney was expecting.

“They’re too touchy feely not to know,” one wrote.

Anyway, regardless of whether he knew, it’s still good news for the pair, isn’t it?

And perhaps this whole thing was just a way of telling the world about it, rather than revealing the news to her husband, anyway?

Responding to someone on their original tweet, one user shared a similar sentiment, saying: “Unless it was just their pregnancy reveal to the public, and they already knew she was expecting.

“That makes more sense.”

The pair shared an embrace after Travis climbed down off stage.

Referencing the ‘All The Small Things’ context, another said: “It was them referring to a video from Blink 182 where a fan in the crowd holds up a sign that says ‘Travis I’m Pregnant’.”

UNILAD has reached out to Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's reps for comment.

The pair were married last year after a ceremony in Santa Barbara and a party in Portofino, Italy.

The Kardashians star has spoken candidly about her struggles with fertility and IVF treatment in the past.

In an episode of her reality TV show, Kourtney revealed that the couple had tried IVF but had to stop.

“We are officially done with IVF,” she said.

“We would love a baby more than anything, but I just really believe in what God has in store for us.

“If that’s a baby, then I believe that it will happen.”

Though it’s the couple’s first baby, this will be Kardashian’s fourth child, whereas Barker has two other children and a stepdaughter.
