Phenomenal video shows insane way group of engineers decided to test a tank's brakes

These engineers clearly had A LOT of faith in their tank

Now, there is likely a very fine line between absolute genius and insanity, and I think we might have just found it.

A resurfaced video that has started doing the rounds on social media appears to show a group of engineers with possibly the most brilliant or worst idea possible.

The clip has so far been viewed more than 4.5 million times on X and most can understand why.

The footage shows a tank speeding down a military road towards a group of 23 engineers in their best black suit and tie combos, seemingly standing for a photo.

Seconds before disaster as the tank plummets towards them, it comes to a firm halt less than a few meters away from... well, running over everyone in its path. Take a look:

It isn’t exactly sure whether those stood at attention knew exactly what was happening and moments before the tank completely stops a few can be seen turning around behind them.

When the military vehicle has completely stopped it is laughter all around, not sure that would be my reaction but hey.

Many social media users were more than a little impressed at the group of engineers being so confident in both their work and the drivers however.

“This is what it means to 'put your life on the line'!” one user wrote.

“That’s perfect self confidence advertisement. If one is qualified and trusts own professionalism then no need for stress,” another added.

“They trusted those breaks for sure! Cool but also a liiiiitle scary way to test this guys!” a third commented.

“The guys back and center are the best of them. They’re the ones I’d hire,” joked another

However, some people just couldn’t wrap their heads around and I don’t blame them.

Some remarked that they could build the most perfect tank in the world and the driver could simply mess up, or something could just simply go wrong.

“You’ve got to be kidding! Just one tiny thing off and how many could’ve died,” one concerned viewer commented.

“Bro, they really risked it all to test those brakes, ngl. probs would've just used a simulator or something tho. silly move tbh,” a second added.

“I'm counting on them having done this as a dry run a dozen times or more before this before the people lined up. Kudos to the confidence shown by the centre group who never glanced back.” said another.

Would you be willing to stand in the middle and do something like this?
