Kanye West has defended his trash bag clothing displays at Gap.
Ye came under fire because his clothing line for the Gap looked like, well garbage.
That's not us being harsh, the rapper actually put his new collection in what looked like giant trash bags.

After suggestions the display could be insensitive to homeless people, Kanye confirmed he's not sorry and people have misunderstood his intentions. You can watch what he had to say below:
Speaking to FOX News this Thursday (18 August), the ever self-confident Ye said: "I'm an innovator, and I'm not here to sit up and apologise for my ideas.
"That's exactly what the media tries to do: make us apologise for any idea that doesn't fall under exactly the way they want us to think."

According to Kanye, though, there's a method behind the madness because the display is actually so customers can more easily access what they want.
He also added that the bags are actually giant construction bags rather than bin bags.
"This is not a joke, this is not a game, this is not just a celebrity collaboration - this is my life. I’m fighting for a position to be able to change clothing and bring the best design to the people," Ye said.
And if you thought shop assistants would be on hand to help you root through the trash to find your size, you'd be wrong.

One user shared their experience of the new collection on Twitter: "This is how they are selling Yeezy GAP.
"The sales associate said Ye got mad when he saw they had it on hangers and this is how he wanted it. They won’t help you find ur size too, you just have to just dig through everything."
And people had pretty mixed reactions, with one user saying: "Yeah looks really fun digging through a giant pile of clothes, laundry is so fun."
Another was surprised to find out the display wasn't a joke, writing: "I really thought this was some type of weird sale when I walked by… but nope."

Others enjoyed the unique idea, with one adding: "I like how this makes it way easier to steal a ton at once."
A fourth thought that the collection was proof of Kanye's intellectual prowess: "The defining genius of our generation."
We'd say it looks like trash, but that's the whole point.
