Jennette McCurdy is set to launch a new podcast in which she goes into detail about how she deals with difficult emotions and feelings.
The former Nickelodeon star has previously opened up about her mother's abusive behaviour towards her in her recent book I'm Glad My Mom Died, which was released last year.
She initially starred in the series iCarly before going on to star in her own spinoff series alongside Ariana Grande called Sam and Cat.

The new podcast, called Hard Feelings, has been produced by Lemonada Media, and is touted as being like a 'raw, unscripted voicemail you might get from a friend'.
According to a preview from Lemonada, the podcast will see Jennette dealing with topics like social anxiety, expectations, jealousy, and shame.
A preview summarising the podcast said: "Join Jennette each week as she laughs through the pain of the funniest thing of all — the human condition."

Jennette said: “I’m thrilled and utterly terrified to launch my new podcast, which will be an intimate look at my experience processing hard feelings."
Stephanie Wittels Wachs, Lemonada’s chief creative officer, has also spoken about the upcoming podcast, highlighting how it draws attention to authenticity.
She said: “We talk a lot these days about the importance of authenticity, but it’s hard to find a truly authentic voice — someone who is unabashedly themselves. Anyone who’s read Jennette’s stunning memoir knows that this is precisely what she brings to the table.”

Jennette has previously opened up about her mother's abusive behaviour in her book.
The abuse included her mom showering with her until she was 18 years old in which she would conduct 'examinations' on her which consisted of touching her inappropriately, claiming that it was to check for cancer.
She told Louis Theroux on his podcast: “She would be clothed, but it was uncomfortable for me. I knew it felt violating for me. And I knew I didn't want it, but the one time I had attempted to even say, 'Hey, do you think I could shower myself?' she flew into hysterics and it just became clear to me 'oh, I can't ever try to shower myself again'."

When she was 11 years old, Jennette also said that her mother had started ‘calorie restriction’ so that she could continue to secure younger roles.
