People say they’ve been ‘cheated’ after finding out how sleeping bags are packaged up at factory

They made it look so easy

Many people have said they've been 'cheated' after finding out how sleeping bags are packaged up at a factory.

When having that first scroll through social media today the last thing I would have expected was to discover a sleeping bag secret - but here we are.

Those who are regular users of a sleeping bag - whether that be for a few nights away camping or for a full weekend hangover at a festival - will know they are packaged quite tightly. Sometimes a little too tightly.

And let's face it, no one ever has much luck trying to wrestle a sleeping bag back into its carrier.

It’s not exactly the easiest job trying to somehow shove the huge puffy thing back into the flimsy little bag.

As you’re stood there on little-to-no sleep, it seems practically impossible that it even fit in there anyway.

Now, a viral video has revealed how sleeping bags are initially packaged at a factory, making ‘it all makes sense’ to a lot of folks.

Watch it below:

However, other social media users admitted they felt 'cheated' after finding out the truth surrounding sleeping bags.

Alongside a video posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, a user penned: "How sleeping bags are compressed for packing."

In a pretty satisfying watch, the big cosy bag is wrapped round two spinning rods, which rotate it.

This way, the air gets squashed out and the sleeping bag folds up.

Despite that, the factory worker still has to get involved, potentially showing how difficult it is to actually to tuck the bag.

They then have to stand and shove their body weight against it, holding it in place in a tight cylinder as they grab a carry bag.

And then, the factory worker pulls the carrier bag over and it sits compact as it’s meant to be.

While it clears up a few questions surrounding sleeping bags, many have not been left impressed by their recent discovery.

"Those cheating ass mother f**kers," one X user said.

"These sadistic d**kheads know what they’re doing to us," another angry user penned.

Others noted how the video answered a lot of questions they previously had.

"Soon as I watched two seconds of this video, it all made sense," one person commented.

Someone else said: “Now I know why I need to struggle for ten minutes to get it back into the bag.”

But another joked: “Ten minutes?? Are you some kind of sleeping bag stuffing guru?”

Well, at least that's all cleared up now.
