Gymfluencer Joey Swoll gets woman banned from spa after she filmed ‘illegal’ video of person changing

The social media star rightly called the woman out.

Etiquette in gyms and spas are often a topic of conversation.

One matter that's always up for discussion is whether someone should film in the gym or not; and it usually leaves people divided.

But this video didn't leave anyone uncertain as what the person behind the camera did was just outright wrong - and potentially illegal.

In the clip in question, some women are using a sauna that looks to be located within the changing rooms.

Outside of sauna is a woman changing and is completely nude at one point.

Filming her, the woman joked that they were getting a 'free show' while in the sauna.

She also didn't censor the woman, who you could only see the back of, what so ever.

Joey Swoll has since got wind of the clip shared to Instagram, and he's not happy.

"This video really p*sses me off," he fumed on social media.

"Pardon my language, but what the f**k is wrong with you? How do you not know better than to do this to somebody?"

In light of the woman geotagging which spa she was at, Joey then got in touch with them and showed the company the video.

Joey Swoll hit out at those involved in the clip.

They said they were 'appalled' by the clip and they've now banned the woman from going to their spas.

They also confirmed to Joey that they are 'committed to investigating the person in question to ensure appropriate action is taken'.

Joey concluded his video urging people to 'do better' and 'mind your own business'.

The gymfluencer has since been applauded for stepping in and making sure the women's actions didn't go without consequences.

"You are just the man that needed to see it," wrote one person on X. "I hope they all have a stint behind bars. This is just not okay."

Other social media-users were just as mad as Joey.

Another went on: "I just don’t get how people like this exist. Filming people to embarrass them is bad enough. But not even stopping to think of the ramifications of filming someone naked in a shower/locker room? These women need jail time."

Thanking Joey, a different person penned: "Joey taking out the trash, yet again. I live for these. Thanks for doing all that you do."

While others suggested it was illegal to take the clip - and they could be right.

While it isn't against the law to film someone in a public setting, in a place where a person expects to have a reasonable degree of privacy (i.e a changing room), it may be considered intrusive and potentially illegal.

At the time of writing, it's unclear if the woman who took the video is facing any charges and if the victim has filed a complaint.
