A magician has revealed how to safely perform a dangerous trick.
If you've ever watched someone carrying out a sword-swallowing performance, you must inevitably have wondered how they could achieve such a feat without slicing open their own throat from the inside.
It turns out that there is in fact a very important aspect of the magic trick which makes sure that it is safe to perform.

So how exactly do people manage to pull this off without eviscerating their own insides?
It's a lot simpler than you might think.
Thing is, they don't just swallow the sword before coming on stage, they've actually done some prep work to make sure they'll be safe.

That way they can just put the sword into the sheath which is already down their throat.

There's also the small matter of how on earth the magician managed to talk normally while carrying a foot and a half long scabbard in his oesophagus.
