A man has been left in utter disbelief after he tried to buy zero-alcohol beer.
In the United States, it's not uncommon for people to be asked for ID whether they look 21 or 81.
Cashiers sometimes just randomly ask customers to see how old they are even if they're sporting grey hair and wrinkles.

However, one bloke has asked why he would be carded when he wasn't even buying traditional alcohol.
“Bro, can someone explain to me why I’m getting ID’d for zero-alcohol beer?” he said in a viral TikTok video.
“Budweiser Zero, full-flavored, zero-alcohol brew. 0.0 percent alcohol. Why am I getting ID’d?

"She literally would not sell it to me.
"Dude, I have my ID, first of all. I have my ID. I was just confused as to why I had to show my ID and why you won’t sell it to me if I don’t have my ID if there is no f**king alcohol in it.”
It's a valid question from a customer point of view because children could technically be able to buy it if it does indeed contain zero alcohol.
However, a few brands that advertise their beers as having zero-alcohol aren't being 100 per cent true.

Some of these products contain small amounts of alcohol; up to 0.5 per cent ABV in every bottle or can.
That's what the cashier told this disgruntled gentleman who was confused as to why he would need to show his ID to buy it.
He recalled the moment he tried to pay, saying: “She was like, ‘Well, it says zero, but there’s still alcohol in it'.

"Either the box is wrong in six different spots and Google is also wrong, or you’re just on some weird power trip, or your system is all f**ked.
"Like, why are y’all ID’ing for zero-alcohol beer? You can literally drink this stuff and drive. Am I wrong?”
Kristen Bell sparked a similar debate when she revealed she allows her kids to drink alcohol-free beers.
On The Kelly Clarkson Show, the Frozen star explained Lincoln and Delta's unusual drink of choice stems from their early connection with their dad.

“He’s a recovering addict, but he likes non-alcoholic beer, so he’d pop one open, he’d have [our oldest daughter] on his chest, and we’d walk and look at the sunset,” Bell explained to Clarkson.
“As a baby, she was pawing at it, and sometimes she’d suck on the rim of it.
"So, I think it feels to her like something special, something daddy, something family.”
She says she sometimes gets weird looks when they're at a restaurant and allows her kids to have one.
