A comedian was left speechless after a well-timed heckle sent the audience into stitches.
They might make it look easy from down in the audience, but stand-up comedy is extremely difficult.
Don't be fooled by the easy charm and quick ripostes of any heckle. That wit has been forged in the fire of a thousand agonising, drawn-out deaths on stage.

In general, heckling at a stand-up gig is not something to be advised unless you have very thick skin.
Comedians show time and again that they can eviscerate unwitting hecklers, chewing them up and spitting them out.
But occasionally, just occasionally, a heckler manages to find a crack in the armour and actually comes out favourably.
And on this occasion, they managed to just say exactly the right thing at exactly the right time.

Comedian Morgan Gallo had been starting a joke, setting up her routine.
She said: "I'm not saying I have a problem getting guys, my problems is-"
At this point, an audience member finishes the sentence, saying quietly - at the moment of silence - "Getting girls."
The timing of the quip, not to mention how softly-spoken it was, left Gallo buffering on stage.

Meanwhile, the audience were reduced to hysterics by the heckle.
Eventually, Gallo went to the back of the stage, picked up her phone, and pretended to call her mom and ask her to come and pick her up because 'I'm getting hit on by a woman in the front row'.
She added: "You're lucky that was funny, because usually comedians f**king hate that s**t."
People took to the comments on Reddit to share their views of the interaction.

Some people joked about how Gallo seemed to be lost for words at the heckle.
One wrote: "Took her a minute to process that."
A second replied: "Yeah she's mad. She's just annoyed that she also thought it was funny."
Another lamented that 'crowd work' comedians have made it more difficult for acts that are less interactive.

They wrote: "This surge of 'crowd work' comedians are ruining the game for everyone else. People are going to stand-up shows expecting them to be interactive. They aren’t.
"If the stand-up isn’t trying to actively get the audience involved in your set, then please keep your mouth shut unless you’re using it to laugh."
Another didn't think she handled it well, writing: "Decent heckle but she handled it poorly. She was clearly annoyed. You're a comedian, unclench."
But someone else took a very different view, posting: "I think this was funny. It was handled perfectly.
"For all we know it was part of the act. It was smooth and I laughed."
