A woman surprised herself after taking a chance photo of a plane flying above her – only to later discover it was her boyfriend at the steering wheel.
Neoma Fernando from Sydney, Australia, was out walking her dog Butter when she noticed the sky looking rather pretty as a Qatar plane flew overhead.
She did what most people would do and whipped out her phone to capture the moment, only to then remember that her pilot boyfriend happened to be flying for the airline that evening.

Even so, given there are literally hundreds of planes flying over Australia at any given time, it would’ve still been a longshot.
Nonetheless, she decided to text him to check, writing: “So a plane flew over me today while I was walking Butter and thought it might be you?! I know you land around 5.55.”
Clearly excited at the prospect, he replied, “Babe it could be me let me SEE!” before swiftly sending a flight tracker showing his flight going over the exact spot Neoma had taken the picture from at that time.

“THAT DO BE ME… 5.27 I was over Minto” he messaged, to which she responded, “NO WAY, WHAT ARE THE CHANCES.”

Neoma shared the heartwarming exchange on TikTok, where it’s since gone viral and has received nearly 900,000 views at the time of writing.

Hundreds of people have commented on the post, with one writing, “OMG THATS SO CUTE.”
Another said, “Nah that is the cutest thing ever, how your instinct just told you it's him.”
A third who wanted clarification on what she meant by ‘Butter’ asked, “That is cute. But one question is butter a dog?? I ran to the comments so far to see if anyone picked up on the butter but no one did.”
The TikToker was on hand to explain: “Haha yes he’s my dog! I have a few videos on my page of him.”
Another who was grateful for the clarification added: “I thought she was walking real butter, that took me way too long to realise.”
