Two women aroused much more than they originally planned, when they allegedly stole sex toys from an adult store at the weekend.

Police are searching for two ‘rugged-looking’ women, who have been accused of stealing several expensive sex toys from the Peaches and Cream store in Petone, New Zealand.

Suspicion was aroused when a staff member noticed the pair split up after walking in, and that their bags appeared fuller, compared to when they entered the store.

The staff member told Newshub the women took off on Sunday (February 17) with a collection of toys including two anal climaxers worth over $300 each, and a Hustler brand rabbit vibrator worth over $250.

Branded the ‘butt plug bandits’, the criminals were given the opportunity to return the items.

Although one of the two women did return an item and apologised, the other refused to open her bag and left with the stolen goods, it’s claimed.

Staff at the store have since posted images of the pair onto the shop’s Facebook page to notify other retailers.

One worker told Newshub:

We’d rather give our attention to genuine customers. It just takes away from the customer experience when we have to be on guard.

That’s not what we work in our stores for. We want to work with customers.

A police report has been filed and initial forensic analysis has been completed.

This is not the first time the store has been targeted by thieves. Peaches and Cream regularly upload pictures of people caught attempting to steal on their ‘Wall of Shame‘ photo album on Facebook.

The shop’s CEO told Newshub it is a recurring problem:

They steal lube, they steal vibrators, they steal masturbators, they steal lingerie, they steal DVDs.

I think most of it would be personal use but some are stealing products to resell.

They added the criminals are usually taken to court where they are forced to reimburse the store, as the shop doesn’t normally want the products back.

Peaches and Cream isn’t the only adult store being targeted by thieves. Last November three women were accused of stealing $600 worth of dildos from Libido in Perth, Australia.

According to the Daily Mail, two of the women reportedly removed the packaging so they could conceal the dildos under their clothes.

Store owner Garry Smith explained it is a ‘constant’ problem:

It’s just a constant issue for us. We have a lot of issues, because we are one of the few retailers on the street, we’re open during night time to capture that passing trade.

He offered a $50 voucher out to anyone who could identify the suspected perpetrators.
