300 Complaints Made About Same Thing On I’m A Celeb

What do Dennis Wise, Jamie Lomas and Amir Khan have in common? They’re all bullies according to the British public.

Yep, viewers of I’m a Celeb have been up in arms about the trio’s treatment of comedian Iain Lee, which they see as a tad savoury.

Recently, Iain admitted to feeling uncomfortable on the reality show.

300 viewers have even gone as far as to boycott the ITV show altogether over the bullying claims.

Ofcom has revealed they are looking into the complaints and will investigate should the claims be treated seriously.

Christine Pratt, of the National Bullying Helpline in the UK, told the Sun:

Bullying is very often perception. Collusion, mobbing, exclusion and negative and hurtful comments is, simply, bullying.

It is outlawed in the workplace. If what is happening in the jungle was occurring online i.e. cyberbullying and it was seemed to be both serious and causing distress, it might carry a prison sentence under the Malicious Communications Act, part of The Harassment Act.

Dennis, who was voted out of the jungle a few days ago, said that he was edited to look a bully.

He told The Mirror:

Unfortunately in life you get goodies and the baddies – and I am a baddie.

My relationship with Iain is fine. I am not a person who likes bullying. I am a person who says what I think and I am working from a competitive angle. I have always been in this team element.

Iain knows the situation and Iain is comfortable with it. Iain has spent time on his own when he needed to. You don’t hear everything or see everything.

Speaking to Good Morning Britain, the former footballer said he had plans to meet up with Iain.

He added:

I was shocked. I have got tickets for him and his kids to go to Chelsea.

We are going to his new talk show, then all of us are going to go to Amir’s boxing in February, when he’s got his first fight.

And I am going to meet (Iain) in Gerrards Cross where his mum is in a care home.

I am a little bit shocked at what’s happened.

We got on very well.

You can catch I’m a Celeb on ITV tonight.
