Adult Swim Just Dropped New Rick And Morty Short For You To Watch At Home

If you’ve safely binge-watched your way through the entire Netflix and Disney+ catalogue during lockdown, Adult Swim has got you covered.
The network just dropped a brand new CG animated anime short, which includes a samurai take on Rick and Morty as they fend off a group of attacking Ricks.
Teamed with Japanese language and English subtitles, the short is bound to sufficiently whet fans’ appetites ahead of the new episodes
Check it out here:
Titled Samurai & Shogun, the short takes inspiration from classic samurai films and the anime Lone Wolf & Cub, while retaining the mind-bending reality of the Rick and Morty universe, ComicBook reports.
The plot sees Rick and Morty involved in a bloody battle with the killer Ninja Ricks, before things start to get even more bizarre, just as you’d expect from any instalment from the pair.
Fans are currently on high alert waiting for the drop of the final five episodes of Rick and Morty’s fourth season and no doubt the release of Samurai & Shotgun will keep the anticipation levels high, while paying a well deserved homage to some of the anime and manga.

While there’s still no official release date for the second half of season four, Spencer Grammer, who voices Summer, revealed she had recorded up to episode 10 of the latest season, back in November last year.
She told Collider:
And then we have another five coming out eventually, sooner than later. And then we also have, I know they’re working on season five.
Come on, Adult Swim, we’re waiting.
