People can't believe how big Thor's hammer is in Chris Hemsworth's TikTok

People can't get over the size of Thor's hammer and, honestly, it's something.

People can't get over the size of Thor's hammer and, honestly, it's something.

There are few Marvel characters we love more than Thor. He's funny, charismatic, and has the most mischievous brother in the universe.

So, of course, fans were excited when Chris Hemsworth took to TikTok to share a clip of his incredibly big hammer.

For those not familiar with Thor's hammer, it's a pretty big deal, and we're not just talking about its size.

Thor's hammer, known as Mjölnir, is the mythical hammer of the thunder god.

Made of Uru metal, the hammer can wield the power of the weather, including lightning. It was enchanted by Odin and can only be used by those deemed 'worthy' of its power.

Of course, the whole point of the hammer is that it's big and hard to lift, but fans noticed it looked a little larger than normal in Hemsworth's most recent TikTok.

That is a pretty big hammer.

Sharing footage of himself and the giant hammer Hemsworth said that he'd just gotten done with a long day of filming: "Just finished up. It was a long one but er, got the job done."

The footage shows a clip of Hemsworth walking along with his daughter as someone can be heard in the background laughing at how big the hammer is.

Explaining the Thor-to-hammer ratio, the star said: "worked out a little bit less on this film, which meant the hammer looked way bigger but I think, proportionally, it's not that far off."

And TikTok users found the whole thing hilarious, writing: "it seems different but I can't put my finger on it."

Think of all the pictures you could put up with it. That is a pretty big hammer.

Yep, something is definitely different with the hammer, maybe it's the colour?

A second speculated what the giant hammer was Thor (get it, like for) "Oh man I would love it if Thor shrunk with Pym particles but he could still lift the full-size hammer."

Another questioned if the actor knew fans' pet name for the hammer: "is Chris Hemsworth aware of the fact that people call mjolnir, 'Jonathan.'"

And we're willing to bet that he does.

While another wondered if Hemsworth was making off with the hammer himself: "did he actually steal giant Jonathan and take it home."

We're really hoping he did steal the hammer and comically uses it to put up pictures because that's what we'd do.
