The wait is over for DC fans, as the trailer for Aquaman 2 has officially landed.
Jason Momoa makes his highly anticipated return as Aquaman himself, and Amber Heard joins him on screen as Mera.
The full title of the upcoming film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

It's official synopsis reads: “Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down once and for all."
It goes on: "This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force. To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance.
"Together, they must set aside their differences in order to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family, and the world, from irreversible destruction.”

Other big names joining Momoa and Heard include Patrick Wilson and King Orm, Nicole Kidman and Atlanna, and Candyman star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as David Kane, AKA Black Manta.
Meanwhile, Ben Affleck will be reprising his role of the Batman - despite the reins having recently been taken over by Robert Pattinson.
Heard's return as Mera comes after a petition was created by one DC fan to have her removed from the sequel film as a result of her losing her lawsuit against ex-husband Johnny Depp.

DC Comic fans weren't the only ones that didn't one her in it, apparently Warner Bros. questioned recasting her as well. "I fought really hard to stay in the movie. They didn’t want to include me in the film," she told the courtroom during her high profile trial against Depp.
When asked if she was included in the second film, Heard explained she would feature, but in 'a very pared down version of that role'.
She explained: "I was given a script. And then given new versions of the script that had taken away scenes that had action in it, that depicted my character and another character, without giving spoilers away, two characters fighting with one another.

"They basically took a bunch out of my role. They just removed a bunch."
Director of the movie James Wan later responded to Heard's claim and insisted that Mera's feature in the second instalment was always going to be smaller.
He said: "The first Aquaman was Arthur and Mera’s journey. The second movie was always going to be Arthur and Orm.
"So, the first was a romance action-adventure movie, the second one is a bromance action-adventure movie. We’ll leave it at that."
